bullheadLatin name Cottus Gobio

Also known as the Millers Thumb, the Bullhead is a small fish with a large flattened head.

Rarely targeted by anglers, unless they are intent on getting into the record books with a particularly large specimen of the species, this greedy fish will often take maggots or quite large worms intended for other species.

Baits

Bullhead will take maggots and worms.

Tactics

Difficult to target specifically, but legering with a bunch of maggots or a worm where Bullhead are known to exist may get you into the record books for micro species!
